Blanc e Neri di Domenis
Grappa derived from single variety of grapevine
In the
60s,
the Company
turned
its attention
towards
a particular
variety
of vine,
the Sauvignon (Blanc di
Domenis). Because of its
natural and marvellous characteristics, it gave the idea for the
creation of a grappa that would be appreciated individually, and
yet be utilized to enhance the quality of the typical productions.
After that, the company started an experimentation with marc derived
from a local red grape, so characteristic and traditional in the
area of the Colli Orientali del Friuli region. It was Cabernet
(Neri di Domenis), whose separate distilling was able to produce
a particularly smooth, velvety and well-balanced grappa.
After all the experiments carried out on these marcs, and seen
the great results, the Company decided to apply the same principles
using marcs coming from particularly precious variety of vines
such as the white Chardonnay (Blanc di Domenis) and the red Refosco
(Neri di Domenis). The company therefore obtained a rational and
articulated product range (all at 40% vol), which since then, at
first timidly and then powerfully, accumulated the market’s
consensus.
Evonde – Grape brandy
Just by the distillation of the grapes of these four vines (Sauvignon,
Cabernet, Chardonnay and Refosco) today Evonde was born. It is
a fragrant and very delicate grape brandy, at 40% vol.
